~ Level ~
There are five levels, each measuring the level of training the character has received. The levels have been called the following: Level 1 is Begging Magic, Level 2 is Soft Magic, 3 is Regular Magic, 4 is Strong Magic, and Level 5 is Major Magic.
Learning the Lower Levels
All magic users are born Level 1. It is possible to reach level 2 without an instructor of any sort, but it is very dangerous and difficult. Many things can go wrong very quickly, and generally if something goes wrong it fails catastrophically. A level 3 or higher teacher is the best to have, but the student can learn from another level 2 if necessary.
Reaching the Higher Levels
Levels 3 and 4 cannot be reached without specific training received at instruction from a teacher whose magical level is one level higher than the intended goal. Therefore, Level 3 must be taught by someone Level 4 or 5, and Level 4 must be taught by a Level 5 magic user. These levels must be taught by someone who possess the same Class as the student.
Level 5 can only be reached by instruction from another Level 5 magic user. However, since magick at that scale tends to be very individualized, the role the instructor takes is more of a guide and a challenger. At this stage no more can be taught by words and controlled situations. The equine must learn to think on their feet and combine their previous knowledge to confront and overcome situations. Since achieving this level of magick focuses on the abstract, the teacher doesn't have to be of the same Class, but it will take longer and be harder to learn for the student. If the teacher is of another Class, they can't help with suggestions and comments pertaining to the student's magick.
Level 1
Beginning magic does not guarantee even general outcomes; in fact often the end result of magick use is completely unrelated to the wanted result. Dangerous scenarios can develop quickly, and terrible consequences can come of it.
Level 2
Those possessing the skill of soft magic can start to control the general effects and outcomes of the magic, and surprise results are much less common. Reversal magic can start to be learned at this stage, but a lot of effort is required to shape the magic to reverse unwanted effects. Minor effects of unwanted magic can be reversed commonly, but medium effects require a great amount of effort.
Level 3
Regular magic starts to specialize to an equine's individual Class, and more complicated magic can be achieved. Reversal magic is developed and expanded, while students often learn of tricks they can adapt their magick to.
Level 4
Strong magic goes in-depth into the magic Classes, with details and patterns pointed out to the students. Reversal magic is fine-tuned, and students are encouraged to start experimenting. They often learn in Level 4 that every magical act has side effects; some good, minor, bad, and with large consequences. Spell-making is an encouraged and adaptive phase, with popular 'fun' spells often making the rounds at the Academy.
Level 5
Major magic is the fine-tuning of a student's magical knowledge. Experimentation and creation are required for this, and quick-thinking in tight scenarios is emphasized. Once level 5 is truly mastered, no rhymes, runes, incantations, or movement is necessary to implement magic. The magic can free-flow through the equine, allowing for maximum control and precision.
Death can never be reversed. When magick is set so that is not meant to be reversed, only a level 4 or 5 can even attempt the reversal. Level 4 or 5 is also required to set up this kind of magic, and a level four cannot undo a level 5 setup. The lower levels can mimic the irreversible magick, especially level 3, by setting up hidden triggers and collapse switches that will detonate more magick if triggered.
Affect of Level & Grade on Ally & Enemy (Wait for Load)
The Level affects to what degree the other Classes can be controlled. The control of the Ally and Enemy Classes is always less than the equine's control of the original Class, but after reaching Level 5 the equine can continue to learn to control the Ally and Enemy Classes he/she can access. However, to continue to learn about any of those Classes beyond Level 3, a teacher must be found that has the intended Class. What is listed below is the maximum control an equine can have over the Ally and Enemy Classes. However, to have that Level of control they would have had to be learning those Classes just like the first one. For example: A Grade A unicorn is Level 4, but his strong Ally is level 2; it could be level 3.
After reaching level 5 in the original Class, a magic user can continue to study and master the other levels of the other Classes, all the way up to level 5. Remember, however, that the original Class is the one that the equine will always be the most skilled with.

Affect of Level and Grade on Outbreaks
The degree of control is determined by the magic user's Level. An outbreak of magic occurs when the equine possessing the talent loses control of his or her magic. These outbreaks can be very dangerous, but they decrease in number and ferocity with training. Also, the intensity of the outbreaks increases as the Grade of the magic user approaches A, due to the fact that more and more Classes are being brought into the equation.
