~ Grade ~
The Grade of magic determines how powerful the equine's magick is. Grade A is the strongest, Grade F is the weakest. Depending on the Grade strength, equines have control over the Allies and Enemy (Wait for load) Classes of their original Class.
Affect of Level on Outbreaks
The degree of control is determined by the magic user's Level. An outbreak of magic occurs when the equine possessing the talent loses control of his or her magic. These outbreaks can be very dangerous, but they decrease in number and ferocity with training. Also, the intensity of the outbreaks increases as the Grade of the magic user approaches A, due to the fact that more and more Classes are being brought into the equation.
Grade A
This is the strongest of the grades, able to control all Ally and Enemy Classes with training. The degree of skill with the other Classes can increase with study, but they will never reach the skill level obtained by the original Class.
--Level 1: Extremely powerful and dangerous outbreaks, immediate instruction advised
--Level 2: Very Strong outbreaks occur regularly
--Level 3: Strong outbreaks are common
--Level 4: Medium strength outbreaks, occurring often
--Level 5: Outbreak strength is weak, and occurrence is not common
Grade B
With training, the strong Classes of both Ally and Enemy can be used, as well as the weak Ally Class. As stated above, the degree of skill achieved with the Ally and Enemy Classes can increase with training, but will never reach the level of skill obtained by the original class.
--Level 1: Very Strong outbreaks occur regularly
--Level 2: Strong outbreaks are common
--Level 3: Outbreaks have medium strength, often occurring
--Level 4: Outbreak strength is weak, and occurrence is not common
--Level 5: Outbreaks rare
Grade C
Those of Grade C can access the strong allied Class with training. The degree of skill with this Class can increase with study, but it will never reach the skill level of the original Class.
--Level 1: Strong outbreaks are common
--Level 2: Outbreaks have medium strength, often occurring
--Level 3: Outbreak strength is weak, and occurrence is not common
--Level 4: Outbreaks rare
--Level 5: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
Grade D
Can control the full range of it's original class, but cannot control any other classes.
--Level 1: Outbreaks have medium strength, often occurring
--Level 2: Outbreak strength is weak, and occurrence is not common
--Level 3: Outbreaks rare
--Level 4: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 5: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
Grade E
An equine with Grade E magic can only control one sub-class. For example, if Class: Water was possessed, and the Sub-class: Waves, then the equine can't do anything with water except to create waves. Outbreaks are fairly controllable, but can get violent and dangerous to those around the magic user. If a teacher is found, it is common for Grade E magickers to progress to Level 3 or 4. Those with Grade E are not eligible to attend the Academy, due to their limited magical basis.
--Level 1: Outbreak strength is weak, and occurrence is not common
--Level 2: Outbreaks rare
--Level 3: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 4: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 5: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
Grade F
Only able to control one Specialty of a single sub-class. For example, a Grade F: Body with Sub-class: Transformation could have a specialty of changing things into one thing. Equines with Grade F can only do this one specialty, and are not eligible to attend the Academy. Outbreaks, although rare in Grade F, occur as random instances of magic. A Grade F equine, for example, could change into a raven without meaning too. Grade F magic users rarely progress beyond Level 2, for lack of willing teachers.
--Level 1: Outbreaks rare
--Level 2: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 3: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 4: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
--Level 5: Outbreaks occur rarely, if at all
