Since this is a unicorn/pegasi RPG, these creatures are not to be the main subject. Alliances between different species (aka familiars) are extremely rare, but if you think you can play one well go ahead and ask. Permission will be granted on activity, idea quality, and if there has been recent acceptances.
These species are to be used as background, to create a danger for the characters and to create new, realistic (for this world) senarios. Remember, every creature has its own weaknesses and streanghts, just like every character. If you push your character too far, they WILL die. If you want a outside species (not pegasi/unicorn) to interact with your character for an extended time, I or the other admins would be happy to oblige. So go ahead, throw in a dragon. Just remember that dragons are rather imperiable to magic, are smart, and breath fire. If your character ticks them off, where will he/she live after his/her home burns down? Will they even make it out alive?
Main point: This world and the creatures in it are made of magic. There are consequences. No one is immortal. Be wary of death or your character will be killed. Unless someone else interferes with a character's death wish, it'll likely come true.
So on that happy point, may I present the wonderful and magickal creatures of Val'thoron...
